SureCloud GRC Solutions Director, Alex Hollis, will be speaking at PCI London on 25th January 2018. The one-day event will explore the latest processes and technologies used to protect payment and personal data. There will be strategic talks, real-life case studies and technical break-out sessions, from PCI teams behind some of the world’s most admired brands. 2018 is a year of new requirements and regulations, most notably around multi-factor authentication and SSL/TLS becoming mandatory. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also comes into force May 2018.
At the conference, SureCloud’s GRC Solutions Director, Alex Hollis, will be presenting on the topic of PCI and GDPR. His presentation, titled ‘GDPR: How to embrace PCI’s big brother’, will take a more optimistic look at the regulation. Alex will discuss why GDPR came to be and how it can be a massive opportunity to strengthen organisations’ reputation and (re)gain customer confidence. He will also cover how implementation and ongoing maintenance of GDPR compliance can be addressed, leveraging PCI DSS compliance.
Hollis commented: “I’m delighted to be speaking on the topic of the EU GDPR at PCI London this year, regulatory compliance is one of the biggest challenges facing organisations in 2018, with non-compliance resulting in fines and reputational damage”.
