SureCloud announced its formal membership of CREST USA, the North American chapter of CREST, the not-for-profit accreditation and certification body representing the technical information security industry
PRESS RELEASE Oct. 6, 2016 London | SureCloud became a formal member of CREST UK in March 2015, and has now become a member company of the newly-formed USA branch, which launched in September 2016. Membership of CREST USA will enable SureCloud to deliver penetration testing services to US-based companies under the CREST accreditation, providing organisations with assurances that they are buying from a highly experienced, technically capable and forward-thinking business.
CREST aims to professionalise the cybersecurity market, by assuring buyers of information security services that they are purchasing from companies with strictly enforced codes of conduct, guaranteed technical competency. In the dynamic cybersecurity landscape, knowledge pertaining to the latest vulnerabilities and cybercrime techniques is essential to deliver robust threat protection. Buying from accredited CREST members also assures purchasers that suitable policies, processes and procedures are in place to protect their sensitive information.
SureCloud’s Penetration Testing services have been CESG CHECK approved since 2009, and it has been re-certified by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) as a PCI Approved Scanning Vendor (PCI ASV) for nine years running. Becoming a formal member of CREST USA adds further credibility to this list of accreditations.
President of CREST, Ian Glover said: “The USA chapter of CREST was launched to deliver assurance in information security to companies based here. Affirming SureCloud as a member means that we are formally recognising the company’s commitment to delivering the highest professional security services standards to its customers, and to continually developing its knowledge and services in line with the evolving cybersecurity landscape.”
SureCloud’s Security Practice Director, Luke Potter, said: “SureCloud is dedicated to ensuring we achieve the appropriate accreditations and validations to give our customers complete peace of mind. We strongly support CREST’s work in bringing accountability and a clear framework of standards to the technical cybersecurity industry, and are delighted that we can now directly demonstrate our expertise and experience to US-based customers.”
