About the session
This session follows an invitation-only breakfast we hosted for private equity partners in May, focused on AI governance across PE-backed portfolios. The question that kept coming back: what does a portfolio company actually do with this? The implementation questions all pointed to the same gap — so we built this session to answer them.
The most common starting point we see: shadow AI. Employees using ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar tools in sales, finance, and operations — productively, but outside any managed environment, with no data governance and no audit trail. Under the EU AI Act, which takes full effect in August 2026, ungoverned AI use is no longer a theoretical risk. For businesses processing personal data through AI systems, GDPR exposure compounds it further.
