We’re seeking an Advisory CISO / Chief Advocate to engage directly with other CISOs and industry influencers in the community. This is a thought leadership role centered around building relationships and adding value by creating and sharing high-quality content that helps and informs and which, as a result, builds trust in our brand. You will be proactive, stay abreast of industry developments, have a firm understanding of our customers’ challenges and how SureCloud solves those challenges and be a superb communicator.

Drive our strategic narrative

SureCloud is launching a new, capability-centric approach to IT GRC and Cyber Risk Management set to transform the future of the industry. As a primary spokesperson for the company, you will help convey our story to the outside world. You will grasp the vision and help lead the industry and customers to adopt this new, capability-centric approach.

Represent our brand and convey positioning

You will understand how SureCloud fits into the current industry trends and educate the marketplace on new trends, the challenges that they can bring, and our unique approach to address those challenges.

Influence product roadmap, marketing, and content strategy

You will spend most of your time in the field talking to customers, hosting our podcast, presenting at conferences, giving interviews, engaging on social media, and so on. You will record the information you learn on the direction and concerns of our customers and the industry at large and bring these insights to internal teams on a regular basis. This information will affect product roadmap, marketing, positioning and content strategy.


  • Deeply understand the IT GRC and cybersecurity market space and our customers, including the business and technical challenges facing the CISO and other cybersecurity and GRC professionals.
  • Understand our product offerings, capabilities, and how we can best assist our customers.
  • Understand and respond to evolving issues in Europe and the US and position our products in relation to those issues.
  • Write, produce, and present high-quality content via various mediums, including social media, blogs, white papers, webinars, podcasts, executive events, conferences, meetups, and media articles, interviews and responses.
  • Identify opportunities for SureCloud to present its research and assume a thought leadership role.
  • Post, comment and network on social media daily, adding value and building connections with industry influencers and target buyers.
  • Conduct CISO interviews and host weekly “ask me anything” style events, acting as a subject matter expert and answering questions from customers and prospects related to IT GRC and cybersecurity.
  • Moderate our executive roundtables, working closely with marketing on the discussion topics.
  • Leverage your network to invite industry influencers and target buyers to attend/co-present at our events and on our podcast.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for marketing projects.
  • Assist Sales efforts by providing an expert voice on sales calls.
  • Produce and lead external and internal-facing training and education pieces.
  • Align with Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure a common understanding of SureCloud’s value and differentiation when communicating externally.


  • Strong knowledge of IT GRC and cybersecurity market space and the business and technical challenges facing the CISO and other cybersecurity and GRC professionals.
  • Superb communication skills and comfortable both speaking to and writing for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable in front of the camera and with posting video content of yourself speaking on social media.
  • Quick-thinking and able to improvise analogies.
  • Self-starter and able to self-motivate.
  • Keen educator eager to take a leading and very public-facing role in directing thought leadership within the industry.
  • Ability to travel to conferences, meetups and other events across Europe and the US.


  • Existing reputation for expertise within IT GRC and cybersecurity communities.
  • Example content and existing followers on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, presentations, podcasts, videos, blog posts, etc.)


  • Remote role in the UK (but would require travel into the London or Reading office approx. once-to-twice a week).
