As novel coronavirus (COVID-19) diagnoses continue to increase around the world, we are writing to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to postpone the SureCloud Client Conference on the 12th May 2020.
Although this is disappointing news, health, and well-being remain SureCloud’s top priority for both our employees and clients.
The customer event will happen later in the year with our secured speakers at the Biltmore, Mayfair and we will send across new invitations when we have secured an appropriate date.
SureCloud, the expert provider of cloud-based, Cybersecurity Services and Governance, Risk and Compliance Solutions, has announced their keynote speaker this year at SureCloud’s first-ever Client Conference will be Matthew Syed.
The event, taking place this year at The Biltmore Mayfair, is to honour SureCloud’s users and to celebrate SureCloud’s Cybersecurity team who have recently been accredited to provide Simulated Target Attack and Response (STAR) Intelligence-Led Penetration Testing services by CREST. The team has also launched a Risk Advisory practice function.
Matthew is a highly acclaimed bestselling-author and speaker in the field of high performance and mindset, with six bestselling books on the subjects. Matthew is also an ex-Olympic table tennis player. He regularly features on television and radio. Matthew is also a journalist for The Times and The Sunday Times. In 2013 he co-founded Matthew Syed Consulting. The company works with businesses with aims to drive higher performance in individuals, teams and organisations and to build growth mindset cultures within them.
Matthew’s in his keynote speech will share concepts from his latest bestselling book: Rebel Ideas: The Power of Diverse Thinking. In addition, he will also share ideas from his 2015 book Black Box Thinking: The Surprising Truth About Success. Matthew will discuss how learning from defeat and blunders (black box thinking) is a vital trait for success in today’s progressive world, as well as the importance of versatility and readiness. Matthew will also debate that individual intelligence is not enough anymore to solve today’s complicated issues, and that to absolutely succeed, people must secure the power of ‘cognitive diversity’.
There will be other sessions at the event which will concentrate on risk management and digital change, exploring topics such as the future of Cybersecurity, Privacy and Compliance. The event will additionally cover looking at the SureCloud’s product, roadmap, and listening and learning from SureCloud’s Co-Founder and CEO.
SureCloud’s COO, Nick Rafferty, stated: “We’re thrilled to have acquired Matthew to be our keynote speaker. Matthew’s focus on growth mindsets, readiness, modernisation, and ‘black box thinking’ to reach success, fits in perfectly with SureCloud’s culture and ethos and is what we wish to build on at SureCloud. I am certain that he will be a tremendous addition to our events programme and be truly inspirational for our guests.”
