CRESTCon2019 will be returning to London in 2019. Last year’s event welcomed over 450 delegates from the security industry in a wide range of positions ranging from CISOs and senior managers to senior penetration testers, threat intelligence analysts and new entrants to the industry. The event includes three conference streams, two busy exhibition room and a dedicated student demo area that will provide the opportunity for students to showcase their work and network with sponsors in a special event.
SureCloud’s Cybersecurity Consultant Sarka Pekarova (aka Grace O’Malley, the 16th century Pirate Queen), will be giving an insightful presentation on the many different faces of Social Engineering. She will look deeper into the science of facial expressions, body language, Chinese medicine, and the psychology behind influence and persuasion, before stepping over to the defensive side, explaining how best to protect yourself against these attacks.
Sarka’s presentation ‘The Pirate Queen’s techniques to Social Engineer her targets (and how you can too),’ will take place in the Penetration Testing Stream from 09.55 – 10.25.
Sarka is one of the Penetration testers of SureCloud’s cybersecurity practice. Sarka previously worked as Network Rail’s security operations center engineer and later managed the same team. In roles prior to this, she worked at Fortinet and European ISP, Interoute.
